Mural

I’m excited to share my recently completed work with the Newark Artist Collaboration and Audible. This piece, titled “Remember”, can be found at the corner of Orange and Essex Street in Newark, New Jersey until December 2022. The Newark Artist Collaboration is an Audible impact initiative, offering ongoing opportunities to Newark-based artists and encouraging local investment in our creative community. About the work:

Title: “Remember”

The images in this mural serve as a reminder of where we are, who we are, what we’ve been through and what we should continue to hold dear: let’s remember that we are on the land of the Lenape people, that Harriet was harboured here as she made her way back and forth to save the lives of others, that police harassment and brutality were on display in Branch Brook Park in 1974 and that the richness of contributions by our immigrant population is part of what makes our city like no other. Remember.
